A Journey to Ireland: The Power of Portraiture

  with Craig Barber

  September 7-14, 2019

There is much magic in Ireland. The history, legends, light, and scenery are all amazing. However, the people may be the country's best experience. We will meet and photograph artists and craftspeople, farmers and fishermen, storytellers, musicians and historians as we travel through Connemara, Aran Island and County Clare. Workshop leader, Craig Barber, will help guide your exploration of the visual wealth Ireland has to offer. This will be an opportunity to hone your photographic skills in landscape and environmental portraiture. Overcome your doubts about making expressive pictures of people. Adapt your approach to circumstances and planned opportunity. Learn how light, framing, and vantage point can impact your work. Throughout the workshop we will share and discuss each other’s work. By the end of this Irish journey your understanding of this place and your trove of new images will be increased.

All levels of photography expertise are welcome. Select the camera of your choice. We ask only that you are open to new experiences.
